Mr. Faller's primary focus is representing clients in obtaining patents in the areas of mechanical, electromechanical, optical, and systems. He represents domestic and foreign clients in obtaining patent protection in the United States and assists them in identifying inventions and evaluating patentability, as well as preparing and prosecuting patent applications. He also counsels clients seeking coverage outside the U.S., on their options and works closely with foreign associates in the prosecution of applications for patents. In addition, he prepares opinions with respect to infringement and validity of patents, and counsels clients on enforcing patents or defending against infringement claims.
Mr. Faller also has significant experience as in-house intellectual property counsel, working closely with engineers, outside counsel and foreign associates.
