Ms. Kim specializes in intellectual property litigation, with a focus on patent
litigation. A number of these have concerned the introduction of generic
pharmaceuticals into the U.S. marketplace under the Hatch-Waxman Act,
including omeprazole, pantoprazole, bupropion hydrochloride ER, terazosin
hydrochloride, a generic version of Tri-Cyclen
®, and a generic version of
Ortho-Novum 7/7/7
®.
Trials in which Ms. Kim has participated include a patent litigation
concerning bupropion hydrochloride ER (full bench trial); a patent litigation
involving papermaking equipment (full jury trial); and a copyright litigation.
Other experience includes a Citizen Petition to the FDA relating to
Ticlopidine hydrochloride; opinion letters in various arts;
work with corporate counsel on the initial public offering of the securities of a
generic pharmaceutical company; and trade dress, trademark, and copyright
litigation.
